DollClarke has a favor to ask her neighbor — nothing complicated on the surface, just help getting a painting onto the wall at exactly the right spot. The task turns out to be trickier than it looks: too far left, too far right, too crooked, not high enough. But before the painting makes it onto the wall, DollClarke decides she has a far better use for the afternoon. She sets it down, makes a different request, and the neighbor follows her lead without a moment of hesitation. SexMex builds exactly this kind of scenario — a woman who knows what she wants and pivots the situation the moment something more interesting presents itself. DollClarke runs the whole encounter from start to finish, directing every beat with the same ease she brought to the original home improvement request. The painting ends up waiting. The neighbor does not.
